DOES ANDRO MAKE YOU MORE AGRESSIVE?
A study published in the July 1999 issue of Endocrinology looked at the effect of Androstenedione on the brain of rats. In the study adult male rates were castrated and then given testosterone, androstenedione, or no hormonal treatment for 5 weeks. The conclusion of the study was that Androstenedione might be able to mimic the effects of testosterone on testosterone-responsive neural systems. Translated this means Androstenedione probably has a very similar effect upon the brain as testosterone or steroids.

COMMENTARY: I think this study proves what a lot of us already know. Androstenedione will make you a lot more aggressive. This may in fact be the primary reason that Andro works so well. Probably the biggest key to making strength and muscle gains is the intensity level of the workout. If Andro helps give you that extra intensity in your workout then that alone is enough reason to utilize it as a supplement. On the flip side one of the reasons I advise only using Andro right before you workout is the downside to increased aggression. Extra intensity in the Gym is great but extra intensity driving down the highway can lead to road rage or worse. Just ask Mike Tyson about it.
WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS STUDY?: Use Andro right before your workout when you need some extra intensity. Avoid using Ando when you need to interact with other people.
